William Roper: So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!
Sir Thomas More: Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?
William Roper: Yes, I'd cut down every law in England to do that!
Sir Thomas More: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned 'round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man's laws, not God's! And if you cut them down, and you're just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!

"Hmmm, I wonder if this thoroughly traumatized boy, who just watched his mother and brothers be murdered by his adoptive grandfather, is going to grow up to be a sociopathic monster. Stay tuned, we'll all find out together."

I'm shouting in my sleep
I need a muzzle
And all this misery
pays no salary

So

Let's open up a restaurant in Santa Fe
Sunny Santa Fe would be nice
We'll open up a restaurant in Santa Fe
And leave this to the roaches and mice

You can make the menu sparkle with rhyme
You can drum a gentle drum
I could seat guests as they come
Chatting not about Heidegger but wine

Do you know the way to Santa Fe?

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

I just discovered that Big Mike is serving in Iraq. In high school pickup games, we used to just hand him the football and let him run over people for a good 30 yards before the 3 or 4 tacklers on his back started to slow him down. May your football prowess serve you well, good sir.

She wouldn't even answer me, then. She made out like she was concentrating on her next move in the game and all. Then all of a sudden, this tear plopped down on the checkerboard. On one of the red squares--boy, I can still see it. She just rubbed it into the board with her finger. I don't know why, but it bothered the hell out of me.

I won't stick around in this town
No, I'm getting out instead
Cause I can't find a thing here to get it done
Race my heart and ring my head
So I won't stick around in this town
Cause I won't
and I can't
And I don't
Understand
You become what you hate
Or you hate what you become

Well don't have no money cause I don't have a job
Don't have a job cause I ain't got no skills
Ain't got no skills 'cause I was not trained
I was not trained 'cause I didn't go to school
Didn't go to school 'cause nobody told me
Nobody told me 'cause nobody knew shit
Nobody knew shit 'cause nobody knows nothing
Nobody knows nothing and that's just it

The Hives speak only truths. Sweet, Scandinavian truths.

I just keep waiting for the incremental change.
But it only comes in leaps and bounds.
At least that's what my friends tell me.

Basketball is life. You eat right, you exercise, you watch games, you talk with your friends, you read stats, you shoot around, you play horse, play 1-on-1, play 21, play video games, play mind games, play war games, play until its work, run, run, run yourself ragged.

Then, after all the work and sweat and heartache and pain, you settle in the corner on the fast break and drain a long two right in your man's face.

And you run back on D. Leaving the goose neck in the air, though.
